Your adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel in Moshi. After meeting your professional mountain guide, you'll drive for approximately one hour to Marangu Gate, the main entrance to Kilimanjaro National Park. Upon arrival, your guide will assist with park registration while providing a briefing about the day's hike, safety procedures, and what to expect along the trail. Begin Your Mount Kilimanjaro Day Hike Your Mount Kilimanjaro Day Hike officially starts from Marangu Gate (1,860 m). Following the well-maintained Marangu Route, you'll walk through one of East Africa's most beautiful montane rainforests. The trail is shaded by towering trees covered with moss and ferns, creating a cool and refreshing environment.
