3-Day Mount Meru Climb

Distance: 8 kmHiking Time: 3–5 hoursElevation Gain: 1,056m After breakfast, continue your ascent through dense forest and moorland vegetation. The trail becomes steeper as you approach Saddle Hut, situated between Little Meru and the main summit. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch and rest. Climbers are encouraged to take an acclimatization hike to Little Meru (3,820m), where spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the Meru Crater, and the surrounding plains await. Prepare for an early summit attempt by having dinner and resting before midnight. Distance: 18–20 kmHiking Time: 10–14 hours Your summit day begins around midnight. Trek carefully along the rocky ridge toward Rhino Point and Cobra Point before reaching Socialist Peak, the highest point on Mount Meru. Arrive at the summit in time for sunrise and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the Ash Cone, Meru Crater, and the vast plains of northern Tanzania. After celebrating your achievement, descend back to Saddle Hut for brunch before continuing to Momella Gate, where your Mount Meru trek concludes.
